The challenge

Subsea Micropiles was reaching a critical milestone in the development of its pioneering offshore micropile technology.

The company was ready to transport the product from Killybegs in Ireland up to Scapa, Orkney where it would conduct the first installation of the micropile anchor.

This was such a significant part of the Subsea Micropiles journey, capturing it through two engaging and inspiring videos was crucial. The first showcasing the preparation and loading of the equipment onto the vessel at Killybegs. The second demonstrating the installation of the anchor in Orkney.

How we got there

Our creative director, Mark, was keen to capture every element in a way that visualised the importance of this milestone for Subsea Micropiles and the wider industry.

He was onsite for both the loading and departure of the vessel at Killybegs and Orkney, with the first task to determine what equipment should be used to effectively capture the essence of the project.

The finished videos used a combination of drone footage, timelapse camera, action camera (which was attached to equipment) and subsea camera (which was attached to an ROV).
